The aim of this paper is to present the main sources of the interpretative dispute about the message contained in the Apostolic Exhortation of Pope Francis Amoris laetitia (2016), on love in the family. Referring to the position of the “Dubia Cardinals”, it concerns primarily four issues, which we can name as the “most-discussed”, i.e. (1) Holy Communion for the divorced and remarried people; (2) Creative conscience and absolute moral prohibitions; (3) The law of gradualness; (4) The concept of mercy.
